Australian rock band from Sydney.
Johnny Kannis (the backup singer of Radio Birdman) in 1977 formed Johnny And The Hitmen; in 1978 released a solo 7" under Johnny's name. After the Radio Birdman European tour of 1978 Warwick Gilbert and Chris Masuak joined Kannis' band and formed The Hitmen.
With 2 Albums, a Live and several 7" released, Hitmen stop the activity in 1985.

Between 1989 and 1992 Kannis and Masuak reformed the band with new musicians, regrouped under the name Hitmen D.T.K.

The Hitmen reformed again in 2007, line up includes Johnny Kannis, Chris Masuak, Murray Shepherd, Tony Robertson and Tony Jukic.
