Trick Or Treat

Effective period / Period of releases: 1999 - 2002

Members: Chris Sargent, Simon Cranny

UK Garage production duo. Active between 1997-2011.

Trick Or Treat began producing back in 1997; their first major release being Wannabe on their own label, Clean Cut Records, which was championed by Steve Jackson on his morning Kiss 100 show. From this, the boys gained immediate recognition in the UK Garage scene, and their label's reputation has continued to grow, supported by respected DJs such as EZ, Luck & Neat and The Artful Dodger, who have licensed tracks from their catalogue to garage compilation albums such as DJ EZ - Pure Garage II & Artful Dodger - Re-Rewind (Back By Public Demand).

They also produced countless "bootlegs", many of which have been extremely successful; the most famous of which is the remix of Baby D's Let Me Be Your Fantasy, which went straight into the Top 40 at number 13, even though there was virtually no press or advertising for the single.

As a result of this success, they did a lot remixes for labels such as Positiva, Incentive, Echo, Chrysalis, Boiler house amongst others, and a close inspection of these remixes will reveal a different style each time.

Colin Chivers and Luke Baldry did a few collaborations with them.
