李骏驹

李骏驹(sometimes falsely written as "李俊驹"), also known as "Sketch Krime" and "Kirby Lee", is a Hip Hop producer, rapper and media worker from China. Born in Yunnan, he is one of the pioneering Hip Hop producers in China. Exposed to Hip Hop music at the age of 15 by watching CCTV3 programme "Melody Of Sports" (运动旋律), he started to listen to artists like A Tribe Called Quest and bought a second-handed MPC 2000XL, then began to produce beats.In 2003, he moved to the capital of China, Beijing, in order to further pursue his Hip Hop dream. His first Instrumental project "Candy Shop" (糖果商店) was released on May 23th, 2005, becoming the very first Instrumental Hip Hop album in China. Including two remix track of Jay-Z and Common, also collaborated with Dilated People and Hongkou Undaground, it received positive reviews from music critics. Later he became part of the group Dragon Tongue Squad (龙门阵) with MC 肆、Crazy Chef (张楠) and Ghost Bone, producing beats for group's first album "Crazy 4 Hiphop" He also dropped a digital exclusive Instrumental album "Kirby" (星之卡比) on 2006. On May 28th, 2007, he released a Rap album named "Niu A's Little Brother" (牛A的弟弟), influenced by Funk, Soul, Crunk, 2 Step and many other music styles. In this well-acclaimed album he developed his production style into a much more diverse level, then he produced the album "Organic" (有机) for the Jazzy Hip Hop group C.O.U who were signed to Dragon Tongue Squad label. In 2008 he went on the UK tour with Dragon Tongue Squad label, drawing much attention from foreign media, and received heatedly from local audience. He released a bunch of Instrumental albums and mixtapes digitally after 2008 on various music streaming sites like Xiami. Works like "Emerald" (祖母绿) were highly praised by fans. Since 2017 he has been working for Juzi Entertainment (橘子娱乐) as the editor-in-chief of Life And Consumption Channel.
