1960s-1970s soul group from Tampa, Florida.
Named after the Chevrolet car model, the Delrays began as an all vocal act in 1967 in their hometown of Bradenton, a small city just south of Tampa. They soon transformed into an instrumental group as well so that they could played gigs. Although they were excluded from the great circuit of Tampa and St. Petersburg due to strong competition from better-known ensembles, the band still managed to have a solid and regular concert activity in the outskirts of these major cities and to release some singles.
