Puerto Rican singer,songwriter (born Sophy Hernández in Aguadilla, she is also known as Sophy de Puerto Rico), she began in the TV program of producer Tommy Muñiz, went to New York in the late 1960s where she sang with Tito Puente, and recorded her first albums there, with huge success over Latin America; she later recorded several albums in Venezuela.
