Biography

Antin Rudnytsky
Ukrainian-born conductor, composer and pianist who emigrated to the United States in the late 1930s. Prior to his immigration, he conducted the Kharkov Opera and the Kiev Opera and also conducted and taught in Lvov and Warsaw. He later taught at the Phila, deiphia Musical Academy, Indiana University, the University of Cincinnati and Youngstown State University and at St. Basil's College and Seminary in Stamford, Conn. According to his New York Times obituary, Rudnytsky was president of the World Association of Professional Ukrainian Musicians.
Rudnytsky was married to Ukrainian opera singer Maria Sokil and their children include musicians Dorian Rudnytsky and Roman Rudnytsky.
