Born Jan. 23, 1903 in Murray, Kentucky, died Aug. 29, 1972 in Akron, Ohio. Laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery in Akron, Ohio.

Moved to Akron Ohio in 1925 to work in a rubber factory. Married Nell Stokes of Paducah, Kentucky in 1926. Son Charles F. Billington was born in 1927. Entered the ministry and preached first sermon in an Akron mission in 1928. In 1946 he received a Doctor of Bibliology degree from Bible Baptist Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, and later on in 1955 received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Bob Jones University.
