Danish roots band, originally formed as Irlandsexpressen in 1992 by Martin Seeberg, Morten Thomassen and Lars Mortensen. The musical style was originally based in traditional Irish music, but soon developed into other forms as well. In 1994 percussionist Steen Lyck joined in, and as the musical style developed further, the name was changed to TangleRoots in 1994/1995. With the 2013 line-up (Martin Seeberg, Steen Lyck and Gambian kora player, Basiru Suso) the musical style have developed further into a world music style that challenges the borders of musical traditions.
