Charles d'Orléans
Charles of Orléans (24 November 1394, Paris – 5 January 1465, Amboise), Duke of Orléans from 1407, is remembered today as an accomplished Medieval poet, owing to the more than 500 extant poems he produced, most written during the 25 years that he spent as a prisoner of war.
