Blues washboard player and sometime guitarist who is best known for his collaborations with Blind Boy Fuller. Very little is known about Washington, whose predominant nickname, "Bull City Red" is a reference to Durham, North Carolina, where he lived most of his life. Washington was also sometimes billed as "Oh Red."
