Balkan Jazz With Klezmer flair.
KlezmicnoiZ, founded in 1996 in Antwerp, Belgium, plays Jiddish Klezmer variations and traditional theme's in a contemporary way.
With influences from Jazz and Music from the Balkans, they create a mix of the old repertoire from “Jiddishtan and Balkanikov” or “Urban Klezmer sounds”.
Bandmembers: Deben Van Damme (violin), Steven Van Gool (double bass), Bob van Brandt (tenor sax), Lieven De Maesschalck (elctric guitar/accordion), Philip De Jager (drums) and Werner Huysmans (piano). Additional vocals by P. Beysens.
