George Vaughn

Real name: George Vaughn Horton

New York-based songwriter, bandleader, and multi-instrumentalist.
Born June 6th 1911, Broad Top Mountain, Pennsylvania, USA, Died March 1st 1988. Brother of bass fiddler Roy Horton.
Contributed such classic songs as "Mule Skinner Blues," "Sugar Foot Rag" and "Mockin' Bird Hill" to country and pop music. He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1971.
