Composer, multi-Instrumentalist, engineer and producer, Robert Slap is a native of Detroit, Michigan. His music spans a wide spectrum of styles that include blues, rock, new age, film music, and jazz. He has played professionally for the last 50 years. His first record with the Tidal Waves in 1966 became a national top 100 hit. Over the years, Bob has recorded and performed with many groups as well as producing recordings for many artists. He has over twenty album credits, and has been recording as a solo artist and composing music for film, TV, documentaries and video over the last 20 years. He now writes and publishes his original music with his company, Highpooch music Productions.
His philosophy is, "Music is made to generate emotional response; life is a tapestry of ever-changing moods, colors, textures, and emotion. It reflects life and touches our souls' strings, pulling feelings out with passion into the open. It is the only medium through which I can truly express my innermost feelings."
