Musician from Volendam, The Netherlands. Founding member of 3JS, and father of Jan Schilder (also known as Jan de Witte). Jaap Schilder is more commonly known as Jaap de Witte, to avoid confusion with fellow musician and Volendammer Jaap Schilder, a former member of The Cats.
