Nils Peter Möller

Swedish musician and composer, born April 5, 1803 in Helsingborg, died October 7, 1860 in Lund.

He was music director, cantor and organist in Lund Cathedral. He was also a skilled cellist. Möller published the textbooks "Kort undervisning i kyrkosång" (1839) and "Kort undervisning om orgelns inredning och dess användande" (1849). He composed music for Fänrik Ståls sägner and Lycksalighetens ö. From the latter comes Vindarnas kör, originally Vindarnes Chor. He also left manuscripts for music for Bjergtrolden by Adam Gottlob Oehlenschläger, as well as a number of string quartets. In 1843, Möller became a member of the Royal Academy of Music.
