Carol Hughes was a 15 year old high school student when she recorded the original version of "Lend Me Your Comb" for Roulette in late 1957. Previously she recorded for Mercury and appeared on several network television shows including the "Arthur Murray Dance Party" and the "Dean Martin Show."
