Native Texan Jimmy Fields, with George McCoy (2) and Joe Bill (2), produced a weekly talent show for television called "Joe Bill's Country Picnic," which was broadcast on Sundays on KRLD-TV. The show became so popular that Jimmy and his associates decided to launch the Felco Record Co. label. Jimmy was also a country/rockabilly songwriter, performer, and producer, and owned the Felco Record Co., Kick (6), and Jamaka Records labels.
