American blues and jazz pianist and occasional singer, probably born in West Louisiana, c. 1904.From Monroe (according to Sweet Williams) or Lake Charles, La. (according to Little Brother Montgomery). Played with King Oliver, cousin of Little Brother Montgomery, once married to Nellie Lutcher. Made recordings in Chicago between 1934 and 1940. Still alive in the 1960s.
