Real name: Rudolf Bauer

German composer, arranger, conductor, pianist and producer, born January 23rd, 1932 in München, Germany, died 03.03.1995. Rudi Bauer startet his career as a pianist and arranger in the Munich jazz and dance music scene. From 1957 onwards he was a studio musician (piano and percussion) in Munich, especially for Christian Bruhn and Werner Scharfenberger. Compositions for numerous schlager singers. Managed a young talent series for Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) and numerous instrumental productions, especially under the names Orchester Kay Farmer, Orchester Andy Farmer, Munich Pop Orchestra and Munich Sound Orchestra. In his later career he focused on traditional german folk music.
