Real name: Abner Silver

Songwriter/composer, born 28 December 1899 in New York, New York, died 24 November 1966 in New York, New York.

Most active during the 1920s and 1930s, he (co-)wrote almost 300 songs including hits such as I'm Goin' South (1923), Chasing Shadows (1925) and Every Now And Then (1935). Silver often collaborated with Al Lewis and Al Sherman (2).
