Canadian (Québec) pianist and composer born in 1944 in Montreal. He composed music for several Quebec artists in the sixties, especially Renée Claude. In France, it is with the singer Nicole Rieu that he works mainly, composing a whole series of songs between 1976 and 1979.
One of Paul Baillargeon's great hits remains the song "Une colombe", composed for Celine Dion in 1984 and presented to Pope John Paul II during his visit to Montreal that year.
His career will extend to the United States since he signs the music of 41 episodes of the popular series "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", "Star Trek: Voyager" and "Enterprise", as well as the soundtrack of some Quebec series, including "La misère des riches" (1990) and "Montréal ville ouverte" (1992).
Received Lifetime Achievement Award at the Francophone SOCAN Awards in 2009.
