Helmut Vonlichten

J.J. Pfeifer a.k.a Helmut Vonlichten is an artist/composer, 8X Emmy winner and co-founder of underground bands E.S. Posthumus and Les Friction.
He has opened Super Bowls with Jay Z , Brian May and Jennifer Hudson. He has composed themes for the NFL on CBS, The Masters, Thursday Night Football, MLB Tonight, the U.S. Open and the PGA Tour.
Raised by hippie parents, J.J. spent most of high school on a commune in Iowa. It was there during the lonely, harsh, and cold winters that he honed his composition skills in an empty sanctuary on an old grand piano. With interest in archaeology as a profession, he was befriended by a Japanese record producer at UCLA who convinced him that his calling was composing and, as such, offered him full time work. J.J. has continued to meet inspiring people along the way including his most recent introduction to an Israeli-American film director who offered him his first feature film score opportunity.
