Jeter Thompson

American jazz piano player from St. Louis, Missouri (March 16, 1930 – December 1, 2017). Started playing piano at five, made his first professional appearance at 16 performing with saxophonist Emmett Carter. Founded Quartette Trés Bien jazz combo in 1959, with whom he opened the Trés Bien Club in 1963. After QTB dissolved in 1973 he worked as a cartographer for U.S. Defense Mapping Agency and as a real estate agent until forming Trio Tres Bien with his brothers Harold Thompson (bass) and Howard Thompson (drums).
