French multi-instrumentalist (trumpet, flute, accordion, etc), inspired by reggae/rocksteady, ska, Latin, Balkan, Oriental, jazz and classical music !

Juliette Bourdeix aka Youthie began playing the trumpet at the age of 6, and went on to study classical and jazz at the Conservatoire in Paris, before graduating as a teacher. At the age of 17, she launched her Reggae / Rocksteady career with the group Natty Princess (Wiki), in which she played trumpet and backing vocals for almost 8 years. During her musicology studies, she developed a passion for Balkan and Oriental music; she was also a street musician, and self-taught the chromatic accordion and transverse flute.
