Real name: Om Prakash Puri

Indian actor he was born in Ambala (India) on 18 Oct 1950 and died on 6 Jan 2017, at this home in Mumbai. He was active in the Bollywood industry since 1972, was well known for his awesome performances over the years. He was one of the very few Bollywood actors who was admired for his acting in television plays, independent films and art movies. In world cinema he made various appearances in Hollywood and British film and drama productions.
In 1990 Mr. Puri was awarded Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award of India. And in 2004, he was made an honorary officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his services to The British Film Industry.
