Mollison “Body Mechanic” Folson has been DJing over 25 years and has been an artist and producer of techno and rap music for more than 15 years. Born and raised on the Westside of Detroit, he started as a disc jockey in high school with his longtime DJ partner DJ Dee doing school functions, local radio mixshows and family gatherings. He is an accredited studio engineer and has a business degree from Henry Ford Community College where he also hosted a college radio show Detroit Promo for two years on WHFR.FM Dearborn, MI. During the '90s, Body Mechanic recorded as the studio DJ with Kurtis Blow, Rap Mafia, Papa J Smooth. He is co-owner of h3o Recordings (distributed by Electrofunk) and Detroit Techno Records (DTR, distributed by EPM).
