Composer, electronic musician, organist and teacher, born July 7, 1945 in Weißenfels, (East) Germany.
His parents were refugees from Estonia and Poland. In 1951 the family emigrated to Edmonton, Canada, where Reinhard remains to live and teach.

Graduated University of Alberta (B.Mus.) in 1968, where he studied composition under Violet Archer.
Went to Cologne under an exchange service, studied electronic music with Herbert Eimert.
Moved to Freiburg in 1969, studied composition with Wolfgang Fortner, acquired a diploma at Musikhochschule Freiburg in 1971.
In 1975 completed M. A. at University of California, San Diego, majoring in electronic music.
Returned to Edmonton in 1974 and began as instructor of piano, theory, and composition at Alberta College Conservatory.
