Willie Hill

Real name: Willie L Hill Jr

Bass player, songwriter producer and engineer, born in Durham, North Carolina. He played with the The Black Experience Band, The Communicators backing band and wrote a hit single, "One Chance". Later he played with The Modulations in the mid-'70s, but left to play bass for Doug Clark & The Hot Nuts in 1977. When he left the Hot Nuts after eight years, he opened the Inspire Productions Studio in 1987, in Durham. He also started his own record label, Joy Records (5), in 1984.
