Real name: Jessie Sanders

Blues guitarist and vocalist. Born: July 26, 1930 in Florence, Mississippi, USA. Died: June 20, 2018 in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.

Sanders moved to Chicago where he performed with artists such as Jimmy Reed, Hound Dog Taylor, Albert King, Magic Sam, and of course his mentor: Howlin’ Wolf.
When Chester Burnett (Howlin’ Wolf) died, Sanders took the name “Lil’ Howlin’ Wolf” as a tribute to him.
During his career, Sanders toured across the U.S and played festivals in Germany and France.

He died at his Memphis home at the age of 87.
