The Opals

Members: Earl Wade
1950's doo wop group that released "Come To Me Darling" on Luna Records in June, 1954 as by The Crystals (11). The group changed its name to The Opals six weeks later upon learning of another group using the Crystals as its name. Members included Earl Wade (baritone), Marty Brown (2nd tenor), Johnny Hopson (1st tenor) and Teddy Williams (bass). The group's only other release, "Oh But She Did" came in October, 1954.
