Not much is known about "The N.N Drivers Battalion" (גדוד נהגי נושאי נשק) or sometimes simply as "The Battalion", which makes the duo Tsvika Ganel and Tal Einav one of the encyclopedia's mysterious ensembles.
Each decade and its effects on the local scene, and the band, as implied by the album they recorded, was very fond of the dark side of the eighties.
They started as "Carbon Dioxide" sometimes appear as "Carbon Dioxide 338" with Tal Einav and Guy David as members, before replacing the name and the replacement of David with Tsvika Ganel, Their dark electronica was inspired by Kraftwerk, Skinny Pappy and others, expressive to the extent that it was perhaps the alternative to Siam, Durlaex Sadelex and DXM.
This is a somewhat whimsical sentence, if you remember that these bands themselves were not catchy even for the alternative fringes at the time.
Befitting that period, the instrument that dominates their creation is the synthesizer and the multitude of effects associated with it.
Two songs of the band are combined in two forgotten local collections that Yoram Mark Reich put together with a host of other anonymous bands, with the exception of "The Hot Killer", of course, and which were distributed in limited circulation in the Carmel area.
A full album called (1986-1993) Works was released around 1994 and combined their works up until then. On its cover only the "Gdud" is indicated as well as Carbon Dioxide.
