American composer of popular and classical music, first woman to score a complete musical, Fine and Dandy.
Married to banker James Paul Warburg from 1918 to 1934. Using the pen name Paul James (4), he wrote the lyrics of two hits of her musical: Can't We Be Friends? (1929) and Fine And Dandy (1930).
