American big band vocalist and commercial model from Norfolk, Virginia

Howe moved to New York in 1934, working as a model on and off until April 1937. Her first singing appearance with an orchestra was with Dick Fiddler in Syracuse in 1934. She stayed only for two months, and returned to modeling. In October 1936 she returned to singing, this time appearing at the Bossert Grill in Brooklyn. She joined Eddie Elkins in Washington at the Raleigh Hotel, where she stayed until January 1937. In the spring of 1937, she sang with Artie Shaw, and later that year with Phil Napoleon and Eddie Lane. She toured the US in 1938, and performed at the Bossert Hotel. In 1940, she had gone back to modelling, and was advertising Lucky Strike cigarettes.
