Bella Band

Effective period / Period of releases: 1978

Members: Riccardo Cioni, Tonino Camiscioni, Mauro Sarti, Roberto Buoni, Luigi Fiorentino

Instrumental jazz-rock/fusion band from Firenze (Florence), Italy. They were formed in the mid 1970s existing at least until 1979, documented with one album and a later live recording. Their drummer Mauro Sarti had previously played with Campo Di Marte. The LP, released by Cramps Records in 1978, included four long instrumental tracks typical of Italian fusion, comparable to material by Perigeo, Dedalus or Area.
After the album, Mauro Sarti was replaced by one Daniele Trambusti, and they were also joined by a new bassist. Upon disbanding most members went onto other projects, a few involving former Sensations' Fix people, with Riccardo Cioni and Luigi Fiorentini forming Panama, and Cioni also becoming a prolific funk and disco producer.
