Japanese composer and jazz pianist. Born January 20, 1931. Died June 10, 1992. Best known as the songwriter of 「上を向いて歩こう」(Sukiyaki) and many other Japanese hits of the late 50s and early 60s.He is the brother of clarinetist and composer 中村二大 [Nidai Nakamura].
