Bill Anderson
American guitarist, born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Silver Spring, Maryland.
Anderson moved to Austin, Texas in 1982. He began his musical career as a roadie for punk-funk band The Big Boys then in 1984 became a guitarist in hardcore punk band Happy Death. In 1984, he was invited to join blues-punk band Poison 13. Anderson continued to play in punk, indie rock and alt-country bands in Austin into 2021, including stints as a sideman for Daniel Johnston and Jon Langford.
In early 2021, Anderson left Austin to live in New Mexico.
