Each summer at Estes Park, CO., the Christian Artists Seminar sponsors national competition for young people in various categories of vocal and instrumental music (annually from 1974 until 2000).

At the sixth Annual Music Seminar (1980) Evangelina was the winning contestant in the vocal solo division for ages 20 - 24. As a special prize to the winner, Good Life Productions of Scottsdale, Arizona provided both the accompaniment tracks used on this recording and free LP albums. American Artists of Springfield, Missouri provided recording and production services to complete the project.
