Extreme Smoke was formed in the beginning of 1990, in the city of Nova Gorica and was the first noise and grindcore band from Slovenia. They changed their band name between "Extreme Smoke" and "Extreme Smoke 57" in the years 1991 to 1993.
They split up in 1993 and three members went to form the grindcore band Deeper Than World (D.T.W.).
In 2008 they decided to reunite, now under the "Extreme Smoke 57" moniker.
