Rhythm & blues singer, born Atlanta, Georgia, 19 March 1936.
Smith first recorded for RCA Victor in 1952, with further sessions for the same company in 1953-1954, with later records following for smaller labels.
He also recorded with Big John Greer, and Blow Top Lynn.
