Born in England, the son of a jazz guitarist, Keith Salmon later moved to live and work in the Highlands of Scotland. Here, surrounded by the natural beauty and influenced by his own spiritual awakening, his music developed from its up-tempo origins to the gentleness of its present form.

"To me, music is not simply something I enjoy, it is a prime requirement of life. Ther have been periods in my life where circumstances have prevented the writing of music, and during these times there appears to be a gradual build up of creative energy, like the feeling of some growing pressure deep within. When finally released, there is a flood of inspiration whose force is maintained for some time, then gradually diminished to a gentle and consistent flow. My aim is to give people something which, when familiar to them, can offer pleasure and comfort; music can be like the company of an old and trusted friend.Mostly though, I want to communicate myself to others. Music has no constraints, I can express myself fully, I can step out from behind the veil of my conditioning and show my true self." Keith Salmon
