Members: Udo Wiessmann, Deak Ferance, Eric de Vries


The Severance was a german Synth-Pop and later Electro / Industrial, EBM Band formed in 1988 by Udo Schubert and George Jerry Scott.
Udo Wiessmann and Stephan Mueller also joined the Band in 1989.
They released one Vinyl 12" Maxi-Single "Dreams of Youth" in 1990 on Hypnobeat/ Hurdy Gurdy Beat.
Later in 1990, Scott and Mueller left the Band.

The Band was new formed with Electronic Drummer Eric de Vries, omits the "The" in Severance and begin to produce more harsher electro/Industrial and EBM Tracks.They released they first and only ever Maxi- CD Release "Naturecide" on Hands Records Label founded by Udo Wiessmann
The Band later disbanned in 1994.
Udo Schubert joinend the Band Electro/Wave Band "Drunkness" as keyboardist and producer
Udo Wiessmann and Eric de Vries formed the Rhythm-’n’-Noise-Project "Winterkälte".
