German Christian music choir, initially came into being in the 1970s in Wetzlar when chorus master Wilfried Mann merged Margret Birkenfelds Wetzlarer Evangeliumschor and the first [Studiochor des Evangeliums-Rundfunks] under Nils Kjellström. After ceasing to exist come the 1980s the chorus was revived 1989 in updated form. After the death of founder Wilfried Mann in 2001 Gilbrecht Schäl took over as conductor.
