Lars Egebjer

Real name: Lars Sölve Egebjer

Born March 27, 1930 in Brännkyrka parish in Stockholm, died January 24, 1986 in Sorunda parish, was a Swedish composer, organist, teacher of harmonics and poet.
He worked for many years as an organist in Brännkyrka church outside Stockholm. As a composer, he saw himself as a kind of musical heiress to Oskar Lindberg, who was also Egebjer's teacher in harmony at the Royal. Stockholm School of Music. The compositions are therefore (mostly) highly romantic.
Egebjer has left behind many choral compositions, solo songs, cantatas and organ works. Although a great many of these are sacred, there are also many profane ones. Many of the vocal works are made with his own texts.
