Altos Louvores was a gospel music group, formed in 1983 by Edvaldo Novais, becoming quite popular in the segment during the 80's.

Altos Louvores has 17 recorded phonographic albums, with songs that enchanted generations and that are still heard today, true classics of gospel music such as: "Brilhante", "Entre Nós Outra Vez", "Para Onde Vão as Aves", "Lágrimas no Olhar", "Acreditar" e "Vencedor".

Several gospel artists have passed through the group who have also been successful in solo careers, such as Sérgio Lopes, Léa Mendonça, Eyshila, Ronald Fonseca, Marquinhos Gomes, Jozyanne, Liz Lanne, Roberta Di Angellis and Jefferson Monteiro.

In February 2011, Edvaldo Novais, leader of the group, passed away from cancer.
