Metro-Tytöt

A Finnish vocal trio, founded in 1947.

The original members were sisters Anna-Liisa Väkeväinen (Heinonen) and Hertta Väkeväinen (Louhivuori) and their cousin Annikki Väkeväinen. Soon after Annikki was replaced by Tamara Hramova (Dernjatin). Their most known songs include "Taikayö", "Äiti, sytytä lamppu" and "Leskiäidin tyttäret".

Metro-Tytöt were accompanied by Harry Bergströmin yhtye in the beginning, later on by Toivo Kärjen yhtye and Jorma Juseliniuksen yhtye. In addition to their own material, they also recorded with Olavi Virta, Henry Theel and Matti Louhivuori.

Metro-Tytöt performed for the last time in 1959.
