Japanese shoegaze / dream pop duo, formed in 2012 in Kanagawa.
Also known as Universe Nekoko in English.

Nekoko roughly translates to Catgirl in English (ネコ is the katakana for neko, meaning cat. 子 is the kanji for ko, meaning child, however traditionally many female names ended with 子 as a societal implication for women to be childlike; in the context of the neko katakana, it can be interpreted as "girl").

Founding member Kо̄hei Tanabe left the group after Kano joined as a vocalist in 2017.
