Cuban. Born: 1963. Death: June 22, 2012. The singer-songwriter José Antonio Nicolás died in Barcelona, where he lived since 1997. Nicolás began his artistic life in 1985 on Heredia Street in Santiago de Cuba and worked with Xiomara Laugart, Alberto Tosca and Donato Poveda.
Some of his works as a composer were "Lluvia Fiel", "Déjate Amar", "No Pueden Parar", "La Flor" and "La Hoja Seca", the latter two being the best known thanks to the versions of the group Jóvenes Clásicos del Son.
