Formed in 2015, the First Ladies of Disco is a group originally composed of Martha Wash, Evelyn King, and Linda Clifford. The group released their first single "Show Some Love". A remix of the single peaked at number six on Billboard's Dance chart. In 2017, the group embarked on their first tour together called the "First Ladies of Disco Show". King left the group and was replaced with Norma Jean Wright.

Following the lineup change, the group released their second single "Don't Stop Me Now" in March 2019.
