American drummer & percussionist. Born 10 July 1943 in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, USA.
He moved to New York City and performed with the Al Cohn - Zoot Sims Quintet before becoming a sought after studio drummer. Paul McCartney contacted him in New York City and, after auditioning him, asked him to London, England to join him and Linda McCartney on work they were doing and this would lead to him becoming a co-founder of Wings (2) with the guitarist and singer Denny Laine. After leaving the band in 1973, he eventually moved to Los Angeles, California, USA.
