Woody Veneman releases six albums and plays numerous national and international shows with his roots formation Woody & Paul, before throwing all conventions overboard and transforming himself into a remarkably versatile artist with an extraordinarily versatile discography. He was part of the all-star ensemble Beukorkest, formed the six-piece analog techno band S.T. Cordell, and makes up the tragi-romantic duo Polly & Bruce with actress Sanne Samina Hanssen. Trained as a visual designer, he merges design and music and has created, among others, The Human Jukebox and The Singing Chair, the last of which was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. His solo project Woody Sings, in which he performs songs spanning his entire career, ties all these divergent strands together. Veneman is a remarkably prolific artist, a fact that stems from a never-ending urge to create and reinvent: “There’s always something you haven’t made yet.”
